OMG!!!

I LOVE YOUR COLLABS WITH LADYARSENIC!!!!!! Her voice is simply astounding, and layered on top of your work, makes for the most scrumptious audiocake that any audiochef could ever dream of!!!!

just out of twisted curiosity, if you by any chance sequenced this in FL...did you by any chance use the Cathedral Reverb preset?? XDXD that would just be great :P

Hmm.. There is nothing that i can find that i dont like about this song, except maybe the volume level around the climax at around 1:58-2:00 ish. It got a bit too loud in my opinion...but other than that, this was another great piece of ear-candy. Fine work indeed, My hat off to the both of you!

MaestroRage responds:

Well what if the audio chef was catering to a diabetic crowd!? EH!? I believe my good sir, that you're intentions are to wipe out a specific species of people, that sir, is genocide. Silly TT, thats wrong.

But moving on now.

I did in fact use the cathedral reverb! I felt it was an incredibly fitting setting. I mean, how could I NOT use it?! It was literally hissing at me "use it!"

"k : /"

It seems that the volume level IS pretty loud at the end. I guess thats what you get when you listen too much and blast your ears for hours on end, you lose focus on what is too loud and what isn't...

thanks for that though, i'll have to find a new system to make sure I never breach that "too loud" zone.

Thanks again for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

hmmm...it was a bit dry....

LOLOLOLOLOL just a litte desert humor *nudge, nudge*

This track was amazing. Especially when 2:49 hit.

From there it was simply spectacular. Again, your music painted so many pictures that i could watch entire movies by simply listening to your work. I was able to relate to the wanderer and how he felt; traveling day after soul-crushing day through the desert, and how his determination stood resolute amongst all the trials the desert has to offer.

Around 3:00 the really big troubles start to happen. The traveler finds him self being surrounded by dozens of Raiders mounted on horse-back, weapons drawn, shrieking like animals. He manages to dismount one of the riders and takes his horse, and the chase is on!!!

3:30 our hero is in the clear...he out rode the raiders...and is on his way to safety, tired, yet victorious!!

5 for freaking 5!!!!! I wish it would go higher than that, but oh well ;D

MaestroRage responds:

I went to get a drink of water after reading your title. So I could spew it all over my monitor when I got to the part you're like

"OMGZ, I KENT BELIEVE THIS CREP CAME FROM YOO! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH U!?!?!?!"

and I would respond with

"WISE GUY IS JOO?! PREPARE YOURSELF FOR A SAVAGING!"

*savages with rolled up papers*

but I guess dreams are dreams always.

Your story is spectacular in of itself there Twisted! Yours must be the only one where the traveler doesn't get it at the end :(

Lucky him.

Thank you sincerely for the review, i'm glad you liked it! I apologize for the late response!

probably not goth......

but nonetheless.....this was an amazing piece of work. The vocals are stunning and the piano was beautiful.

Im glad i stumbled across this song!

DUDE!

DUDE

BELLS

I love this piece man. Those bells really are sad sounding. Forget pads and percussion for this one (just in my opinion) This track doesnt need any of that. To me, the melody and reverb are enough to keep me hooked. I dont feel this track is empty......but rather distant.......which is a side effect of feeling sad...feeling distant, and i feel this track pretty much nails that.
Great job on this one man!!

Suspended-3rd-Chord responds:

It's always nice to see people review older tracks! thanks a lot twistedtechnology!

I personally still think this could possibly use something more; perhaps if I was to make the track longer. I've been experimenting with light pads and plucked strings....but I'm still very pleased that you can appreciate the way the track is.

Thanks for the sixth review in the last 24 hours! Thank you very very much :D

OOOooo.......vocoded voodoo!!!

Lovin the vocoder. As well as the drums man. I freakin love how you do those.

I dont really have to complex a review for this, other than that i find it menacingly catchy XD

sweet track man XD

Suspended-3rd-Chord responds:

glad you like this one-thank for taking time to drop a comment on this track, I personally think its my most unique one. appreciate it man!

OMFG

ROFL WOW. Jazzy techno!!!!!!! Thats totally what this sounds like to me.

Aside from this being an absolutely hilarious blend of genres (imo) this loop is actually pretty sweet. Kinda bouncy and flows really well. It doesnt exactly loop as well as some of you other loops, but its still pretty nice.

9 *'s for the melody and +1* for the awesome genreblend= 10*'s for you!
~Twistedtechnology!

Suspended-3rd-Chord responds:

hehe, personally I don't see how this is too much techno...or maybe its the organ synths used in the second and third phase :P

looping problems in here indeed...the drums in the last bit were kinda "forced" so to speak. maybe since its in 5/4 its a bit awkward sounding(i usually just write in simple 4/4 and 3/4 time) and does loop as well...

thanks for the great score and yet another noble review! :)

MMmm mmm mmmm

MMMM industrailness. I dont normally listen to industrail tracks posted on newgrounds because generally they are glictchy far beyond the point of being audibly attractive in any way, shape or form.

But this here......this is just delicious. Pretty hot beat goin on, which is what i like about good sounding industrial techno...it deviates from the same overplayed techno beat used in God-Knows how many songs (lol mine included)

Some crazy sounding samples in here man. Sweet track. I wish it could've been longer, but hey, its all good as it is anyway XD

4/5 (only because of the length)

~twistedtechnology!

Suspended-3rd-Chord responds:

"MMmm mmm mmmm" -sounds like you nailed the rhythm section in the intro!

I originally had this listed in the miscellaneous section actually. I just changed the category about two hours ago hehe.

the length certainly could have been longer...i dont even know if this is 50% done. I only had the demo version at the time of FL I was using hehe and I couldnt save. thanks for the good numbers once again as well!

Sweet man 3 reviews in a row? that was certainly generous of you, thanks once again. I definetly hit you back with some more reviews dude!

yeeaaa

that one intrument kinda does stand out a bit too much. I think the one you used the aquablahblah (maybe im stabbing in the dark at that guess) phaser preset on. Those random metallic sounding hits just kinda threw me off for a second and i had to figure out what was going on lol.

Other than that, everything sounds sweet. As said before, the loop is seamless. Lovin the keys again....you can hardly go wrong with those. Did you custom tweak the knobs for your keys? they dont quite sound like anything they regularly sound like... XD

Anyway smooth track here!
like it a lot XD

~Twistedtechnology

Suspended-3rd-Chord responds:

ahaha sweet another review! cheers man!

the one instrument that is phased is just a snare sample actually. haha. yea its kinda out of place-I was just trying to go for something unique and abnormal sounding at the time.

I usually just use the compressed piano preset and just tweak the knobs accordingly to my mood. I added loadsa reverb with some noticeable decay to get my sound. The little piano bit in the intro has a wideing chorus effect so it sounds slightly out of tune and wobbly. I personally think it adds some character.

Once again, thanks for the review. you didnt have to leave two man, but I certainly do appreciate it :D

ITS MY TURN TO REVIEW!!

Cuz you've been so nice as to repeatedly stop by and review my works, i am honored to return the favor.

The pads you use in this song are simply spellbinding. Love the wooden log drum-like things. Sorry for my lack of terminology. The precussion was nice, and everything flows well here. But perhaps the lower frequencies of the bass tom could have been brought out a bit more to give a bit more of a dominating presence, but not so much to the point where they take over.

Very stylish adding in those keys. I absolutely loved that. I play the piano everytime im at my girlfriends house (just like in FL i make shit up on it lol) so it always good to hear a nice piano here and there. The melody for the piano was pretty sweet. Simple yet elegant, it put a great bit of feeling into the loop.

The only other thing i could think of would have to be the same thing the person below said, chrechendos would be totally sweet in this piece!

This is a really nice piece man. 5 from me!

~Twistedtechnology

Suspended-3rd-Chord responds:

well thanks a lot for returning the review! I certainly do appreciate that :)

I'll try messing around more with the equalization I love the term "dominanting presence" haha. and definetly yes, dyanmics is something I certainly need to work on once programming. its so much more tedious to do while its almost automatic once playing an actual, physical instrument.

glad you liked everything else. Thanks a bunch for the long well though out review and kind words!

yup, i agree

that all it really needs is some EQ tweaking, and you'll have yourself an even beasltier song!

great job on this, and keep em coming XD

~Twistedtechnology

Dj-UnKnOwN responds:

Yeah, still working on eqing it. Cause in the original song, i dont think i eqed it AT ALL. I'm not sure why, but i didnt, so i need to eq it in time for teehh album
Thanks for the review
