this is pretty sweet as it is.

but if it's transitions you are looking for, use the reverse crash!!!!!!!! A classic techno transition tool, and with so many different reverse crash samples floating around the internet, it shouldn't be too hard to switch it up. A nice long sample to create a short, but somewhat dramatic build into the next melody, or a shorter sample to say "hey you, that was kewl, now check dis shit here"

lol at least thats what i do anyway. Im not really suer if this songs needs em too much. i think its pretty sweet.

anyway, hope this helped even a little lol. haven't wrote any helpful reviews like this in a while.
keep it up!

lol this was cool

were you guys playing the guitar parts?if so, bad ass on the heavy metal part, and also wonderful job on the power ballad. If you didnt play em...oh well, it was still pretty cool. Even cooler that you made it for you sisters.10/10 5/5

nope they were virtual instruments lol. Thanks for the review man! glad you liked it

Love the sidechiaining

that piano is great in there as well XD just thought it took a bit too long to get through though, so inevitably left a little emptiness there. but thats ok, cuz i almost forgot about it once 3:01 rolled in. nice track XD

mmmmm this is juicy.

I'm going to be keeping my eye on you :)

I love the way this track starts out XD

What are you using to compose all of this? I can totally see this being played at raves. Super trippy stuff here XD I think Im hearing FL studio effect generators in there...just not sure XD anywho, I can get down to this!!

I Used Fl Stufio. Most of the effects were Fl generators.

I Hope To Play Some Raves!

Not smashin this or anything.

As a matter of fact, I think this piece has great potential. The reason I gave it a 7 ( and i think why others scored so low ) is that there is far too much empty space in the song and that the melody kinda just plays over and over. BUT, i.m.o.m that melody should be kept, and kept where it is in the song (if that makes any sense,) so that you can go back and fill in the blanks.

The new melodies need not be anything too fancy, (especially if you are actually playing and recording this which it sounds like you might be towards the end, if so don't try to play something faster than you're accustomed to ) but it must vary from section to section to avoid over repetition.

Now, instead of reading me talk of all that mess, to the song.
Aside from the above stated advice, (and please note, I merely mean to be constructive, i rather enjoy this piece) I like the tempo of this piece :) Love the contrast between the low and high notes. I can definitely see how this would be written on a rainy day, such an almost melancholic melody, but at the same time relaxing.

I think that people in this category of the audio portal are pretty picky about what they like and don't like, and vote accordingly. I try to vote based on the effort I feel I see portrayed. So, 3/5 for the relaxing but slightly empty melody and 7/10 on a song with great potential, and apparent heart and thought put into this.

Hope this was kinda helpful ^^;
keep at it!

Thank you for your critique, and also following through on what you promised in the forums. I've yet to feel confident enough to post any links there. But I appreciate the feedback. I can understand your thoughts on this, as I kinda had the same myself after listening to it a few times. My computer and keyboard don't cooperate well if at all, and I'm currently looking into options to fix that. Perhaps I can obtain a better keyboard this holiday season...
I plan to keep at it. And I hope you do too.

This track is pretty groovy!

To start this off, the track is pretty groovy!! I like the lightheartedness of the whole track and enjoyed the sounds you used, and the melodies you made with them! A couple of suggestions that will hopefully spring your sound along!
~first, would be to explore finding free samples on the internet (such as percussion instruments) and free vsti's
~the second, would be to really focus on mastering the track (i.e. EQ'ing or altering sound levels so that things aren't too loud where they don't need to be)

those are really the only suggestions i think you need :) everything else is great! You get the idea of composing the tracks and mixing them, now all you need to do is clean up the sounds a bit and the tracks will sound crisper and crisper every time!

5/5 9/10(the 9 because you just need to work on the sound levels)

great track!

Thanks for the awesome review man! Im glad you liked it! very well put together

Gotta give it up

This was just one hell of a fun track to listen to XD Pretty inspirational and uplifting in the melodies. The transitions are smooth as hell, and everything overall just flows so smooth. I love the buildups in here, and especially how they mellow back out, just to jump into another buildup XD FREAKING AWESOME SONG!

Thanks man! I'm really glad you liked it!

Even though you couldnt add more

This track was simply beautiful, and a fitting farewell to your dearly departed friend. The feeling you aimed to portray was painted beautifully in this track, and actually brought a tear to my eye.

The only bit of criticism if have towards the song however, is that the flute is a bit too loud. Aside from that one thing, this was a beautiful piece!
